Note:1. Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the lists. In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked List till the expiry of the period of 3 years the duration of the Ranked List shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. 2) Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. |

A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR A pass in SSLC Examination, Kerala or its equivalent and a pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Govt. Examinations, Kerala. OR A pass in SSLC Examination, Kerala or its equivalent and a pass in Arabic Teacher Examinations conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala OR A pass in Arabic Preliminary Examination of the Kerala or Calicut Universities. 8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT 1 Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(Ms) No.50/70/PD dated, 12.2.70 and G.O.(Ms)9/78/G.Edn. dated 21.1.78 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates (True Copies) from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O.(Ms.) No.509/64/Edn. Dated, 19.9.1964, G.O.(Ms)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 9.11.65 and G.O.(Ms)No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.5.66). 2. Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.should produce proper certificate from the Headmaster of the schools specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission. The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by the open competition on the basis of merit alone. (G.O.MS.315/62/Edn.dated 14.5.62) 3. NDS Instrctors who have put in not less than one year service as N.D.S. Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S Instructor subject to a minimum period of 5 years (G.O.(MS)156/67/Edn.dated 10.4.67) They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission. 4.First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers. (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.5.75) 5. Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit (G.O.Ms.No.185/70/Edn. Dated 18.4.70 and G.O. Ms No.466/70/Edn. Dated 11.11.70). They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission. Note: - The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reasons should state the fact in the relevant column of the side B and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet Side A of the application. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para of the General conditions) . Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rules should not exceed 50 years. |

i. A Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations Kerala or its equivalent. ii. A pass in the Certificate of Physical Education issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or a Pass in the Vocational Higher Secondary Education in Physical Education conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secoindary Education Kerala or its equivalent or any degree in Physical Education (regular course) such as B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed etc. conferred or recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. G.O.(MS) No.48/2001/G.Edn.dated 9.2.2001. iii. Ex-servicemen having Certificate of Assistant Indstructors Course issued by the Army School of Physical Training in the prescribed form are eligible for appointment as Physical Education Teacher in Upper Primary Schools provided they possess the minimum general educational qualifications of SSLC EX-servicemen of Army/Navy/Air Force who possess one of the following qualifications can apply for the post. 1. Physical Training Course of the Armed Forces (The Assistant Instructors Basic Course in Physical Education) 2. The Army Physical Training Corps Instructors Course 3. The Naval Physical Training Corps Instructors Course. 4. Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course provided that such ex-service Personnel shall also possess SSLC or its equivalent qualifications. |

7. Qualifications:
In the absence of candidates with sufficient Bar experience, candidates without Bar experience will also be considered. Those who had completed M.Phil Degree by 31st December, 1993 or have submitted Ph.D thesis to the University in the concerned subject on or before 31st December, 2002 are exempted from the NET qualification. Such candidates who fail to obtain Ph.D Degree has to pass the NET. |

Note: The experience prescribed for recruitment to the post shall be one gained after acquiring basic academic qualifications fixed for the post. Probation: Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
