4. The period of training and transit will be treated as on duty under Rule 12(7) iii Part I KSRs. Probation: - Every person appointed to the post shall on completion of training, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. (1) Only one ranked list will be prepared in pursuance of this notification and candidates will be advised from the list against all the vacancies reported for the post from the departments mentioned above. As such a candidate need send only one application. Candidates will be advised for recruitment to each department according to the order in which vacancies are reported from each department and in accordance with the ranks secured by them subject to the rules of reservation. Once a candidate is so selected, his/her turn will be over and he/she will have no further claim for being considered for appointment from the ranked list to another department. As a common ranked list is prepared for more than one department on the basis of a common examination, a candidate appointed in a department and discharged for want of vacancy can re-register his name in the office of the Public Service Commission. In that case, he/she will be advised for appointment against the first vacancy reported from any of the above-mentioned departments. (2) Provided also that the seniority of a person appointed in one service from a common selective list, prepared by the Commission and thereafter discharged from service for want of vacancy and got re-appointment in another service or another Department/Institution on the further advice of the Commission shall be determined by the date of first effective advice. (Vide G.O.(P) No.7/91 P & ARD dated 15.2.1991). His service in the former department will be counted for probation in the latter department. For reappointment in the parent department itself no re-registration is necessary but one has to wait till vacancy arises in that department. (3) Candidates will have no right to claim for appointment to any particular department. |

Note: (1) Persons holding low paid posts including any of the subordinate services under the State Government and Work Establishment can apply for this post, if they possess the qualifications prescribed for the post. The upper age limit is not applicable to them. They will take their chance for appointment purely on the basis of merit and will be considered against Open Competition vacancies only and not against reservation turns. They will have to produce service certificates in original obtained from the Head Office/Head of Department for verification as and when required by the Commission. (2) LD Typists of various departments having four years of service can apply for the post if they possess SSLC with Typewriting Lower. The upper age limit is not applicable to these candidates. In no case maximum age limit shall exceed 50 years. They will take their chance for appointment purely on the basis of merit. They will have to produce Service Certificate in original obtained from the Head of Office/Head of the Department for verification as and when required by the Commission. (3) As per G.O.(Ms)No.8/81/GAD dated 13.1.1981, 5% of the vacancies arising in the cadre of Typist Grade II in the Government Secretariat/Office of the Kerala Public Service Commission/Advocate General’s Office, Ernakulam/Local Fund Audit Department/Vigilance Tribunal(Thiruvananthapuram )/Special Judges & Enquiry Commissioner (Thiruvananthapuram & Thrissur) will be reserved for the persons holding low paid posts (included in the Subordinate Services) having the minimum Typewriting Qualification – prescribed for appointment to the post of Typist Grade II by Direct Recruitment. Those who secure 40% marks in the Competitive Test will be selected to the post. The Commission shall maintain a separate ranked list of such persons and candidates from this list will be advised against the 5% vacancies set apart for them. In case candidates included in the ranked list (prepared for recruitment by transfer) and could not secure appointment before the expiry of the ranked list, the names of such candidates will be included at the top of the new ranked list of the low paid employees drawn up by the Commission subsequently irrespective of their service and seniority and they will be advised for appointment accordingly (Vide G.O.(P) No.39/89/P&ARD dated 8.12.1989). Candidate applying under the above category (that is in accordance with (G.O (Ms) No.8/81/GAD dated 13.1.1981) should obtain a service certificate in the form given below and the same have to be produced for verification whenever required by the Commission. Persons appointed through employment exchange or otherwise and working on a temporary provisional basis are not eligible to apply under by transfer category for the post in response to this notification. |

8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT 1) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(Ms) No.50/70/PD dated, 12.2.70 and G.O.(Ms)9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.1.78 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the terms of Jawans; Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates (True Copies) from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O. (Ms.) No.509/64/Edn. Dated, 19.9.1964, G.O. (Ms) No.614/65/Edn. Dated 9.11.65 and G.O.(Ms)No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.5.66). 2. Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. should produce proper certificate from the Headmaster of the schools specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission. The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by the open competition on the basis of merit alone. (G.O.MS.315/62/Edn.dated 14.5.62) 3. NDS Instructors who have put in not less than one year service as N.D.S. Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S Instructor subject to a minimum period of 5 years (G.O.(MS)156/67/Edn.dated 10.4.67) They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission. 4. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers. (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.5.75) 5. Those who have acquired the prescribed qualification on or before 28.6.75 are eligible for relaxation of the maximum age limit to the extent of 6 years. G.O.(MS) NO.55/78/G,Edn.dated 8.5.78 Note: - The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reasons should state the fact in the relevant column of the side B and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet Side A of the application. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para of the General conditions) . Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rules should not exceed 50 years. |
