Age Limit

:

Should have completed 18 (Eighteen) years and should not have completed Forty  One (41) years as on 1-1-2004.  (No other age relaxation will be allowed)

Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years.  But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

7. Qualifications:-

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Technology awarded by a University, Government or Government recognized body after 3 years course of study.

Appointments are made subject to the rank secured in the Ranked List of candidates prepared in pursuance of this Notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O (MS) 25/94/GAD 22.1.94 and G.O (P) 21/76/PD dated 17.1.1976 allowing Special Reservations to and Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3(C ), 17(a), 17 (b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958.

2.The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis subject to the Special conditions laid down in GO (MS) No.154/71/PD, dated 27/5/1071.  A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List so prepared is not eligible for transfer to another District unless he/she completed five (5) years service in the former District.  Even if, transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the orders contained in G.O (MS) No.4/61 PD dated 2/1/1961.  Candidates already in Government service, holding the post in one District are restricted from applying for the same post in another District.  But they can apply for higher posts.

3.The name of the District, ie.  Thiruvananthapuram to which appointment is desired should be noted in the relevant column of the application and application should be sent to the District Officer of the Public Service Comission, Thiruvananthapuram

7. Qualifications:-

  1. Pass  in SSLC or its equivalent
  2. Successful training for a period of not less than three years in General Sick Nursing
  3. In the case of women candidates successful training for not less than nine months in midwifery from an institution recognized by the State Government and in the case of male candidates, successful completion of short term course in one or the other of the nursing subjects of Venerology, Urology, Psychiatry or Ophthalmology conducted in a major hospital.

Note:- Those who have undergone successful training for not less than 6 months in midwifery will also be eligible for appointment as Staff Nurse (Female) subject to the given to candidates who have undergone successful training for not less than 9  months in Midwifery for the purpose of Direct Recruitment to the post of Staff Nurse (Female)

4.      Certificate of Registration with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council as Nurse in the case of male candidates and Nurses and Midwife in the case of female candidates.

Note:- 1.  Those who have got themselves registered with other State/Central Nurses and Midwives Council can also apply.  But they should get themselves registered with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council before taking up appointment under Kerala State Government.

1.      Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post (vide G.O (P) No.24/93/P&ARD dated Thiruvananthapuram 29/3/1993)

2.      The duration of General Nursing and Midwifery Course is 3 years instead of 3 ˝ years in respect of batches admitted to the training course from January 1987. (Vide Lr.No.EE1-100086/81/DHS dated 22.2.1993)

Probation:- Every person appointed under these rules shall from the date on which he/she join duty, be on probation for a total period of 2 years as duty within a continuous period of three years.
