Explanation I
Recognised Hydrographic Survey Service for the purpose of these rules may include the following:

Explanation II
Experience is the number of years of experience after acquiring the basis academic experience. Provided that no experience shall be insisted in the case of SC/ST candidates, however the candidates so selected shall undergo training in the respective field for the required period. During the period of training shall be entitled to the full pay and allowance attached to the post.
8. Probation:
Every person appointed to the post, shall from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of 2 years within a continuous period of 3 years.
9. Tests
A candidate appointed to the post, shall during the period of his/her probation pass the Account Test for Executive Officers, unless he has not already passed the test.

8. Preference:- Other conditions being equal, the Home Guard Volunteers who have completed a tenure of three years in the organization and who have satisfactorily undergone training in Fire Fighting during the period of tenure, shall be treated as having preferential qualification for direct recruitment to this post.
9. Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date of which he joins duty after he completes the training and examination if any, be on probation for a total period of the two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
10. Bond:- A person appointed by direct recruitment to the post of Fireman shall execute a bond, binding himself to serve in the Fire and Rescue Services Department for a period of seven years and to pay to Government an amount of Rs.3000/- in case of failure to serve in the Fire and Rescue Services Department for the said period.

Note:- A Written and Practical Test will be conducted during the last fortnight of the period of training and those who fail to quality in either one or both tests, will have their training extended for a further period of one month, at the end of which they will be tested again in the subjects in which they have failed. The Director, FIre and Rescue Services Department will allow a third chance to pass the course to all Fireman recruits who fail in the retest.

Qualifications |

1. Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification. 2. Degree or Diploma in Ayurveda of recognized University or Government. 3. Professional standing as an Ayurvedic Practitioner for a minimum period of 5 years. |
