Note:1. There shall be no maximum age limit in the case of the persons employed in the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine Ayurveda Colleges.  But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years

       2. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years.  But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree of a recognized University.

Training:- A person appointed under these rules shall be on training for a period of six months in the various offices of the Forest Department.  The period of training shall not be counted for probation During the period of training the candidate shall be paid the minimum of the scale of pay plus usual allowance attached to the post.

Note:- 1.  Training shall not be insisted in case the person appointed has already been in Government Services for a period of not less than 10 years.

            2. In case the person appointed has already been in Government Service, he shall be allowed to draw the pay and allowance he would have drawn for his appointment under these rules, if the pay and allowances drawn by him is higher, then the minimum of the scale of pay and allowances attached to the post.

Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he join duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty with in a continuous period of three years.

The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O MS No.154/71/PD,dated 27-5-1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List so prepared is not eligible for transfer to another District unless he/she completes 5 years in the former District.  Even if,  transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O (MS) No.4/61/PD dated 2-1-1961.  Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one District are restricted  from applying for the same post. But they can apply for higher posts.

Candidates are not eligible to apply for the same post in more than one District.  If a candidate applies to more than one District and gets selected, his/her selection will be cancelled and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.

                           2.Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE)                     3.Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting                 (KGTE/MGTE) or it’s equivalent qualification

Note:-

  1. True copies of certificates obtained from Government will alone be accepted as proof of Typewriting qualification.  (Certificates obtained from the typewriting institutions will not be accepted)
  2. Malayalam Typewriting is not compulsory for Ex-servicemen who have completed normal tenure of  service for applying to the post of Typist in the Government Service.  But if they are selected, the above qualification should be acquired before completing probation.
  3. Service as Clerk/ Writer in the defence forces for not less than 15 years will be deemed as sufficient qualification for the post.  If selected, they have to pass Malayalam Typewriting Lower before completing probation.  Subject to the conditions laid down in G.O (P) No.139/77/GAD dated 11/5/77, linguistic minority candidates whose first language for the S.S.L.C Examination is a language other than Malayalam may apply to this post even if they do not possess Malayalam Typewriting Lower qualification.
  4. Ex-Servicemen with service as Clerks (General duties) Clerks (Staff duties) and personal Assistants in the Army, writers in the Navy and Clerks (General duties) in the Air Force who were under, the category ‘Class I’ or those who posess 15 years service in the clerical cadre in the Defence Forces will be treated as eligible to apply for the post.   5. A written test of 2 hours duration with maximum 100 marks will be held for the candidate who submit valid applications
