Diploma in Craftsmanship in the trade of ‘Draftsman (Civil) or ‘Surveyor’ obtained after 18 months course (followed by 6 months practical training) at the Industrial Training Institute/Centres conducted by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour.

Note:-

Candidates who have successfully completed the Industrial Training of 18 months will also be treated as qualified even if they have not completed the period of practical training.  But their appointments will be treated as provisional and will be regularized only after the completion of six  months practical training.

Diploma in Craftsmanship (Trade Test Certificates) in the Trade of Draftsman (Civil) awarded to private candidates without insisting on six months practical training will be treated as an alternative qualification for direct recruitment to the post of II Grade Draftsman.

Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years course) of the Women’s Polytechnic of the State.

Note : 1. The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year from the date on which it is brought into force provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new ranked list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of the three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised against  the vacancies shown above and for all the vacancies reported during  the period of pendency of the ranked list in the order of priority if any and in the order of merit and according to the rules of reservation and rotation wherever they are applicable.

2.        The upper age limit will be relaxed in favour of those candidates who have worked provisionally in the service of the Local Authorities to the extent of their provisional service up to a maximum of five years, provided they were within the prescribed age limits at the time of their first provisional appointment and also provided they possess a minimum service of one year in the provisional appointment.  But the regular employees of the concern are not eligible for the above concession for further appointment.  The provisional hands should obtain a certificate showing the period of their provisional service in the concern and shall produce the same as and when required by the Commission. It would also be clearly specified in the Certificate that they were not holding regular appointments under Local Authorities.

3.        The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidate to the service of Kerala Municipal Common Service if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake.  On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of candidate, provided that the cancellation of  advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of Service of the candidate by the appointing authority shall be made within the period of his/her probation (240 days) from the date of his/her joining duty whichever is earlier.

4.        Sub Clause VIII, IX,X,XI,XII and XIII in Para 2 and Para 5,6 and 7 of the General conditions under Part II are not applicable to this post.
