Should have completed 20 (Twenty) years and should not have completed Forty Six (46) years as on 1-1-2003. (No other age relaxation will be allowed) |

Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years. |

7 7. Qualifications:- 1. Masters Degree in Law of the Kerala University with atleast 50% marks or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Kerala University. 2. Experience at the Bar for a period of not less than three years. 3. Must have passed a Comprehensive test specifically conducted for the purpose for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf. When qualifications are equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam. In the absence of candidates with sufficient Bar experience, candidates without Bar experience will also be considered. Those who had completed M.Phil Degree by 31st December, 1993 or have submitted Ph.D thesis to the University in the concerned subject on or before 31st December, 2002 are exempted from the NET qualification. Such candidates who fail to obtain Ph.D Degree has to pass the NET. |

Appointments are made subject to the rank secured in the Ranked List of candidates prepared in pursuance of this Notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O (MS) 25/94/GAD 22.1.94 and G.O (P) 21/76/PD dated 17.1.1976 allowing Special Reservations to and Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3©, 17(a), 17 (b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958. |
