Note: - (1) Diploma in Electronics Engineering/Technology obtained after undergoing a regular course of study for not less than 3 years with 60% marks in the qualifying examinations and a pass in Section A & B of AMIE will be considered as equivalent to a degree in Engineering. (2) In the case of first or second-class Post Graduate Degree Holders in Electronics Engineering/Technology the prescribed 60% marks in the concerned branch for the basic degree will not be insisted upon. (3) Aggregate marks of all the years/semesters of the Engineering/Technology Course in which University Examinations are conducted shall be taken into account in calculating the 60% marks. (4) Percentage of marks obtained for the above-mentioned examination and details of experiences should be furnished in the column prescribed for noting qualification in the application form. |

4. The period of training and transit will be treated as on duty under Rule 12(7) iii Part I KSRs. Probation: - Every person appointed to the post shall on completion of training, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Test: - Every person appointed to the post shall within the period of probation pass the Account Test (Lower) or the Account Test for Executive Officers (Kerala) if he/she has not already passed the test. Details: Regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate, as given above, and vague statements such as vision normal etc. will not be accepted. Specification for each eye should be stated separately. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the Officer issuing the Certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision, as the case may be. Otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted. Applications with Defective Medical Certificates will be rejected. Sports, Military Training, Memberships of N.C.C. etc. will be considered as additional qualification. The candidates will be subjected to physical efficiency test. They must qualify in at least five of the under mentioned eight events of one Star Standards Test. The physical measurement of candidates will be taken before the physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the required physical measurements will not be permitted to attend the Physical Efficiency Test.

On completion of the said training they will be posted as Reserve Sub Inspector in the Scale of Rs. 5500 – 9075 and they will be placed on probation. The period of probation is two years on actual duty within a continuous period of three years. The probation of directly recruited Reserve Sub Inspectors will be commenced only after completion of the practical training as prescribed in G.O. (Rt) No.573/78/Home dated 21.3.1978.
