Note: 1. The list of selected candidate published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year from the date on which it is brought into force provided that the list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new ranked list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised against the vacancies shown above and for all the vacancies reported during the period of pendency of the ranked list in the order of priority if any and in the order of merit and according to the rules of reservation and rotation wherever they are applicable.

2. (i)  The provisional hands working in the above concern will be given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service put in subject to a maximum of five years from the upper age limit provided they are within the prescribed age limit on the date of their first appointment in the above concern.  But the regular employees of the concern are not eligible for the above concession for further appointment.  The provisional hands should obtain a certificate showing the period of their provisional service in the concern and shall produce the same as and when required by the Commission.  It would also be clearly specified in the certificate that they were not working in the regular service of the concern.

  (ii) The retrenched employees of the Kerala Fisheries Corporation will be given age relaxation as stipulated in the Government Order (Rt) No.1942/84/PW dated; 31.12.1984 to the extent of their service subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years.  These candidates will also be given preference in the matter of recruitment among other candidates with equal marks.  Such applicants should obtain a certificate from the Managing Director, Kerala Fisheries Corporation Limited to prove their length of service in the Company and the date of retrenchment and produce the same as and when required by the Commission.

 (iii)   “The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidate to the service of Foam Mattings (India) Ltd. if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake.  On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of candidate, provided that, the cancellation of advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of service of the candidate by the appointing authority shall be made within the period of his/her probation 240 days from the date of his/her joining duty whichever is earlier.”

    2.       The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis subject to the Special Conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD, dated 27-5-1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List so prepared is not eligible for transfer to another District unless he/she completed five (5) years service in the former District.  Even if, transfer is allowed after five5) years, it will be subject to the orders contained in G.O.(Ms) No.4/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Qualifications

:

A degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/B.T/LT conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.  The concerned subjects for the degree are as specified in Note (3) below.

Note: - 1) Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed means B.Ed should also be in the concerned subject.

  2) Diploma in rural service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to a degree for the above purpose.

  3) The applicant should have taken Botany or Zoology or Geology or Home Science or Microbiology as main subject for graduation or post Graduation.

 4) Post title degree holders are not eligible to apply for the post of Graduate Teacher.

 5) Question Paper for the written test, if any will be in Malayalam.  The candidates should answer the questions in Malayalam.

6. Those who have no training qualification can also apply.  If selected in the absence of candidate with training qualification they will have to acquire training qualification within three (3) years from the date of appointment (Vide G.O.(MS)63/Edn.dtd.3.5.1982).

SPECIAL CONCESSIONS

1. Preference will be given as laid down in G.O. (MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970 and G.O. (MS) No.9/78 General Education dated 21.1.1978 to Wives of Jawans in the matter of Special Recruitment as Teachers if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  The above benefits are also allowed to the wives of Jawans who were in Military Service on 19.9.64 provided such candidates were duly qualified on 19.9.1964 and have not completed forty (40) years of age as on 1.1.1995 (Vide G.O (MS) No.243/66/Edn.dt.27.6.1966)

2. Wives of Jawans should note the fact that they are wives of Jawans on the top of the B Part of the application.  Such candidates should produce as and when called for proper certificate (true copies) from the Officer commanding stating the name. Military rank and Military address of their husband.

       (Soldiers in active service and those working in the base establishments are included under the term of ‘Jawans’ G.O. (MS) 509/64/Edn.dated 19.9.1964, 614/65/Edn. Dated 19.11.1965 and 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.5.1966).

3.  The first class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.MS 122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.5.1975).
