Dated 2.6.2003 the candidates included in the Ranked List to the post of Junior Lecturer, Political Science in Collegiate Education Department which came into force with effect from 7.12.1996 are eligible for age relaxation (subject to a maximum of 50 years) if they are otherwise qualified to apply for this post. Qualifications |
1) Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record. 2) Must have passed a comprehensive Test specifically conducted for the purpose by U.G.C. or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf. When qualification being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam. 3) Candidates who have passed M.Phil Degree by 31.12.93 or have submitted PhD Thesis to the University in the concerned subject on or before 31.12.2002 are exempted from appearing in the NET examination. In case such candidates fail to obtain PhD Degree they shall have to pass the NET examination. Note: - For recruitment to various posts under these rules Degrees awarded by the Universities recognized by U.G.C. alone shall be considered. |

1. A Degree in the concerned subject. 2. Bed/BT/LT 3. Degree/Senior Diploma/Junior Diploma/Diploma or Higher Certificate/Lower Certificate/Certificate in Teaching the Deaf obtained after undergoing a course of study from an institution recognized by State or Central Government, University or Board of Examinations in India or one issued by any foreign university. |

Note: i) Diploma in Rural Science amended by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose. ii) The applicants should have taken Physics or Chemistry or Home Science as main subject for Graduation. iii) Post Graduates in the concerned subjects with B.Ed/BT/LT are also eligible to apply for the post. iv) Post Title Degree Holders are not eligible to apply for the above post. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT 1. Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.Ms.No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970, and G.O.Ms.No.9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.1.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. The above benefits will be allowed to the wives of Ex.Jawans also who were in Military Service on 19.9.1964, provided, such candidates were duly qualified on 19.9.1964 and have not exceeded 40 years as on 1.1.2004. |

Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the terms of Jawans. Wives of Jawans should note on the top of ‘Side B’ of the application from that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should produce proper certificates (True Copies) from the officer commanding stating the Name, Military Rank and Military Address of their husbands, as and when required by the Commission. (G.O.Ms.No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.64, G.O.Ms.No.614/65/Edn. Dated 9.11.1965 and G.O.Ms.No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.5.1966). 2. Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualifications will be exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the school specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service put in by them as and when called for by the Commission. The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against the vacancies to be filled up by Open Competition on the basis of merit alone (G.O.Ms.No.315/62/Edn.dated 14.5.1962). 3. N.D.S.Instructors who have put in not less than one year service as N.D.S.Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S.Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years (G.O.Ms.No.156/67/Edn. Dated 10.4.1967). They should produce proper Certificate from the authorities concerned as and when called for by the Commission. 4. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers. (G.O.Ms.No.122/75/G.Edn. dated, 27.5.1975). 5. Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit. (G.O.Ms.No.185/70/Edn. Dated 18.4.1970 and G.O.Ms.No.466/70/Edn. Dated, 11.11.1970). They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned as and when called for by the Commission. Note:- The candidates who claim concessions in view of any of the above reasons should state the fact on top of side B of the application. Otherwise, the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see Para 2 of the General conditions). 1. Minimum General Educational Qualification of a Pass in X Std. 2. Diploma in Automobile Engg. (3 Yrs Course) or Diploma in Mechanical Engg. (3 Yrs Course) awarded by the State Board of Technical Education. OR Any qualification in either of the above disciplines declared equivalent by the Central Government or State Government. 3. Working experience of at least one year in a reputed (Govt. approved) Automobile Workshop which undertakes repairs of both light Motor Vehicles, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Vehicles fitted with petrol and diesel engine (Please see Clauses 21 & 22 of General Condition). 4. Must hold a Driving Licence authorizing him to drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicle, and Heavy Passenger Vehicles. Note: - Experience should be one acquired after the acquisition of the basic qualification prescribed.
