1.      Masters Degree in Law of the Kerala University with at least 50% marks or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Kerala University.

Must have passed a comprehensive test specifically conducted for the purpose by U.G.C or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf; when qualifications are equal, preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.

 

In the absence of candidates with sufficient Bar experience, candidates without Bar experience will also be cosidered.

 

Those who had completed M.Phil Degreeby 31st December,  1993 or have submitted Ph.D thesis to the University in the concerned subject on or before 31st December 2004 are exempted from the NET qualification. Such candidates who fail to obtain Ph.D Degree has to pass the NET.

Note:  1. Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Technology obtained after undergoing a regular course of study for not less than 3 years with 60% marks in the qualifying examination and a pass in sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of AIME will be considered as equivalent to a Degree in Engineering.

 

           2. In the case of first or second class post graduate Degree holders in Electrical Engineering/Technology or any other qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent there to the prescribed 60% marks for basic degree will not be insisted upon.

 

           3. All experience certificate should be attested by the concerned Government controlling Officer/Head of the Department.

 

           4. The genuiness of the certificates will be checked and appropriate legal actions should be taken against those who have produced bogus certificates and those who have issued such certificates also.

2.                      The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue Dizstrict basis subject to the Special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidates advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List so prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she complete five (5) years continuous service from the commencement of service in the former district. Even if, transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the orders contained in the G.O.(MS)No.4/61/PD Dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service, holding the post in one district are restricted from applying for the same post in another district. But they can apply for higher posts.

Qualifications: -

 

1.  A Degree in English Language and Literature, and

 

2. B.Ed/B.T/L.T with English as optional subject conferred  or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala. 

 

In the absence of those with qualifications in item (2) candidates with B.Ed/B.T/L.T in any other subject conferred or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala will be considered.

 

Note:  (1) Post graduates in the concerned subject with B.Ed/B.T/L.T are also eligible to apply for the post.

 

(2)  Those who have no training qualification can also apply. If selected in the absence of candidates with training qualification, they will have to acquire training qualification within three (3) years from the date of appointment (Vide G.O.(MS)No.63/82/Edn  Dated 03.05.1982)

 

SPECIAL CONCESSIONS

  1. Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No.50/70/PD Dated 12.02.1970 and G.).(MS)No.9/78 General Education dated 21.01.1978 to wives of Jawans in the matter of Special Recruitment as Teachers if they possess the prescribed qualifications. The above benefits are also allowed to the wives of Jawans who were in Military Service 0n 19.09.1964 provided such candidates were duly qualified on 19.09.1964 and have not completed forty (40) years of age as on 01.01.1995 (Vide G.O.MS.No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.06.1966)

 

2. Wives of Jawans should note the fact that they are wives of Jawans on the top of the first page of the application. Such candidates should produce proper certificate (true copies) from the Officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husband, as and when called for.

(Soldiers  in active and those working in the base establishment are included  under the term of ‘Jawans’ G.O.(MS)No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, 614/65/Edn Dated 19.11.1965 and 243/66/Edn. dated 27.05.1966).

 

3. The First  Class Scouts and Guides will be gives preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn Dated 27.05.1975)

Note:1.  In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and those who belonged to Scheduled Tribes before the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976 came into force and who are admitted to Auxiliary Nurse Midwife course prior to the enforcement of the Act, i.e., 27.07.1977, qualification under item (i) will  be a pass in Standard VIII. The relaxation will be allowed only in the absence of fully qualified Scheduled Tribe candidates and to the extent necessary for filling up the quota reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates alone.

A passage in English consisting of 400 (four hundred) words will be dictated within five minutes (At a rate of 80 (Eighty) words per minute) and the candidates will be asked to take down the same in Shorthand and then to write it in long hand (using ink) within the time limit of an hour. An interview will, also be held for those who qualify in the above written test. Place, date and time of the test will be published later.
