(3) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the Special Conditions laid down in G.O.MS No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one District are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.

A Title of Oriental Learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala (in regard to High School Assistant (Languages) in Government Schools a title of Oriental Learning in the concerned language awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala shall also be accepted in lieu of Degree if these title have been declared as equivalent to PartIII of the Degree)

Note:- 1. "Siksha Sastri" Examination of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan and "Siksha Sastri" Examination of the Kameswar Sing Darbhanga University of Bihar will be treated as equivalent to BEd Degree Examination of the Universities in Kerala for the purpose of appointment as High School Assistants(Sanskrit).

2. Post Graduates in Sanskrit are also eligible to apply provided they have BEd/B.T./L.T.

3. BEd should be in the concerned subject.

8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

1) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(Ms)No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.70 and G.O.(Ms) 9/78/G.Edn. dated, 21.1.78 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications, soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans. Such candidates should produce proper certificates(True Copies) from the Office Commanding stating the Name, Military Rank and Military Address of their husband and produce the same as and when required by the Commission.

( G.O.(Ms)No.509/64/Edn. dated 19.9.1964, G.O.(Ms) No.614/65/Edn. dated, 9.11.65 and G.O. 243/66/Edn. dated, 27.5.66).

2) Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission. The candidates ho claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by Open Competition on the basis of merit alone. (G.O.(Ms)315/62/Edn.dated, 14.05.1962).

3) N.D.S. Instructors who have put in not less than one years service as N.D.S. Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S. Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years. ( G.O.(Ms)156/67/Edn. dated 10.04.67). They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

4) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers. (G.O.(Ms)No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.5.75).

5) Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit (G.O.Ms.No.185/70/Edn. dated, 18.4.70 andG.O.Ms.No.466/70/Edn. dated, 11.11.70). They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

Note:- The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet Side A of the application. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over-aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxations please see para 2 of the General Conditions) Upper Age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.

SUITABILITY TEST

               Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Typists/CA’s/Office Superintendents/Non-Graduate Assistants in the Advocate General Office (appointed otherwise than under G.O.(MS)1046/PD dated 14.12.1959), Kerala Public Service Commission , Government Secretariat and the Universities of Kerala, Kochi, Calicut and Mahatma Gandhi for admission to the Suitability Test for promotion as Section Officers in the concerned institutions.

NOTE : The candidates working in the Kerala Public Service Commission Office who have already passed Kerala Public Service Commission Manual Test and the candidates working in Secretariat/University who have passed the Secretariat Manual Test will be exempted from passing Part II of the Test.  If the applicants from the Secretariat Manual Test on or before 09.03.1979 they need not pass Part II of the above Suitability Test.

The application should be accompanied by self-attested copies of Certificates proving the age, qualification and eligibility for exempting from passing Part II of the test. 

Maximum Number of Chances allowed to appear for the test: 5 (five only) 

Application form and mode of sending:

               Candidates should apply in the application form exclusively prescribed for the Eligibility Test.  The cost of application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten).  The application forms are available at the Central and District Office of the Commission on payment of Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten).  The application duly attested by the Head of Department/Head of Office concerned shall be forwarded to:

               The applications which do not contain the Certificate of the Head of Department/Office/Head of Institutions properly filled up and countersigned by the Head of Department/Office/Head of Institutions will be summarily rejected.

               The application can be submitted directly by the candidate and need not necessarily be forwarded through the Office/Institutions where the employees are working.
