       The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special  conditions laid down in G.O(MS)N0.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years  continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district even if transfer is allowed after 5 years.  It will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS)No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961.  Candidates aleready in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post.

A Title of Oriental Learning in Urdu awarded or recognized by the Univiersities in Kerala ( if such  title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of Degree) and certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

Note:- (1) Candidates possessing Post Graduate Degree in Urdu are also eligible to apply for the post provided they have the required training qualification (G.O.MS.177/87/G.Edn dated 22.08.1987)

(2)  B.Ed should also be in the concerned subject.

            The application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer  processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR).   Side ‘A’ is the OMR data sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form.  The Candidates must darken the bubbles in Side A and fill up columns in Side B of the application form.

A Degree in concerned subject and B.Ed/BT/LT( in concerned subject)conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.

Note:1

Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to the Degree for the above purpose.

Candidate applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge of Tamil which will be tested in the written test and also at the time of interview.

3.

The applicants should have taken History or Economics or Geography or Politics or Commerce or Philosophy or Music or Sociology as main subject  for graduation.

 

                   (a) Graduates in Hindi and Arabic who have taken History as Subsidiary for  Degree and English and Social Studies for B.Ed are eligible to apply.

             (b) Trained Graduates in Kannada who have taken English and Social Studies as Optional for B.Ed course from the Karnataka University are also eligible to apply for the post.

                   (c )(Graduates in Islamic History and Arabic Main who have taken social    studies for B.Ed

Or

Graduates in Islamic History (Main) and Indian History and Political Science as Subsidiary and B.Ed with History.

Or

Graduates in Islamic History (Main) and Political Science and General Economics as Subsidiaries and B.Ed with Social Studies are also eligible to apply for the post (as G.O.(MS) NO.161/88/G.Edn dated 21.10.1988)

 SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

  1.

Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O(MS)9/78/G.Edn. dated.21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer commanding stating the name,  Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O.(MS)N0.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964, G.O(MS)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.66 and G.O MS.No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66)

  2.

Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.  They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone.  3.

First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teacher (G.O.MS.No.122/75/.G.Edn.dated 27.05.75).

Teachers of the Government  Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit.  G.O(MS)No.185/70/ Edn. Dated 11.11.70.  They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The ranked  list thus prepared  and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies if any, reported during the currency of the list.  In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked list till the expiry of the period of 3 years,  the duration of the Ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.

Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification.  If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.  Candidates should submit applications for this post to the concerned  District Officer of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application(Side B) and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet(Side A).  The address of the District Officer to which applications is to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the notification.

The Selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the Special Conditions laid down in G.O(Ms).154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.Ms.No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in  any one District are prohibited from applying again for this post.

SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

  1.

Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O(MS)9/78/G.Edn. dated.21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer commanding stating the name,  Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O.(MS)N0.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964, G.O(MS)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.66 and G.OMS.No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66)

  2.

Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.  They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teacher (G.O.MS.No.122/75/.G.Edn.dated 27.05.75).

Those who have acquired the prescribed qualifications(7)(2) on or before 28.06.1975 are eligible for relaxation in the maximum age limit to the extend  of six  years (G.O(Ms)55/78/G.Edn. dated 08.05.1978.)

The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet Side A of application. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General conditions)  Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.
