6. Age Limit

:

Must have completed 20 years and must not have completed 43 years on 01.01.2008 including relaxation in para 2(i) of General Conditions)

(for conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Para ( 2) of the General conditions except Para 2(1).

Officers of the Technical Education Department, Public Works Department,Public Health Engineeering Dept,Industries Department and Architecture & Town Planning Department may also apply, and they will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service in these departments. A service certificate (in Original) shoewing the length of their service should be produced as and when called for.Those who are eligible for age relaxation have to furnish the details in the column 12 of the application

7. Qualifications:-

First Class Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate branch of engineering/Technology.

OR   

            First Class Master Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.

NOTE:-Percentage of marks obtained for the above mentioned examinations should also be furnished in the column prescribed for noting qualifications for the post in the application form. The term I class means, "I class with a minimum of 60% Aggregate marks" (G.O.(P) No.6/2003/H.Edn. dated 24.1.2003).

Probation:-Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty after he completes the training and examination will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years


Liability to serve in the Defence Services : Persons appointed to the post shall be liable notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including periods spent in training) in the defence services or on assignment relating to defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad if so required. The liability to serve in the defence services will be limited to the first ten years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.
