Note

Each eye must have a full field of vision and colour blindness will be a disqualification. Candidates should produce the Medical Certificate (in original) certifying to the visual standards specified above(including the field of vision and colour blindness) obtained from a Medical Officer of/or above the rank of an Assistant Surgeon.

            Training

          A person appointed to a post of Assistant Director(Polygraph) by Direct Recruitment shall undergo 6  months training in all branches of Forensic Science in the Forensic Science Laboratory and also undergo  a training in that/those discipline(s) of Forensic Science which will be dealt with in the division(s)  of Forensic Science Laboratory to which he/she will be appointed/ transferred in a Forensic Science Laboratory or in NICFS, Govt. of India, New Delhi or similar institution to be decided by the Government on the advice of the Director General of Police for a minimum period of six months or for such period/periods  required to complete the course/courses of training in the institutions to which he is deputed.  A trainee will be entitled to the following benefits during the period of training, namely

 

a)He will be eligible to draw an amount equal to the minimum of the scale of pay of the post and the usual allowances.

 

b)He will eligible for traveling allowances for to and fro journeys incidental to the training at the rates admissible to the Officers drawing pay at the minimum of scale of pay of the post under Kerala Service Rules.

 

c)Any other allowances like compensatory allowances, warm clothing allowance etc which Government may by general or special orders sanction to officers deputed for travelling.

 

d)The period of training will be inservice and treated as duty under Rule 12(7)(iii)Part I, Kerala Service Rules.

 

Test:-  Every person appointed to the post shall within the period of probation pass the Account Test for Executive Officers or Account Test(Lower) if he has not already passed the test.

 

Probation:-  Every person appointed to the post by direct recruitment shall on  completion of the training be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

 

Bond:- Every person appointed to the post shall execute a bond in such form as may be prescribed by the Government to serve the state Government for a minimum period of 5 years after completion of training failing which he will be liable to pay a sum  of Rs.25000 (Rupees Twenty Five thousand only) as liquidated damages to the Government in addition to the actual cost of training assessed by the Account General (A&E), Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

Note

The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidate to the service of Local bodies under its purview if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake.  On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of candidate.  Provided that the cancellation of advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of service of the candidate by the appointing authority shall be made within the period of his/ her probation.
