(1)

A ranked list will be prepared for Idukki District in pursuance of this Notification.  The list thus prepared by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies if any, reported during the currency of the list.  In case no candidates is advised from the Ranked list till the expiry of the period of 3 years the duration of the Ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.

Applications should be sent to Idukki District in response to this notification.  Candidates should submit application for this post to the Idukki District Officer of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application(Side B) and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet(Side A).  The address of the District Officer to which applications is to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the notification.

The Selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.Oms.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.Ms.No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in one District are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.

Age limit

:

Should have completed 18(Eighteen) years of age and should not have completed 39(Thirty nine years of age as on 01.01.2006 with usual relaxation to Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Communities.

 

Note:-

For concessions followed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General conditions under Part II of this Notification.

Qualifications:- A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala.  Concerned subjects are as specified in note (iii) below.)

Note:-i

Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council in Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose.

     (ii)

Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge of Tail, which will be tested at the time of interview.

    (iii)

The applicants should have taken Physics or Chemistry or Home Science as main subject for Graduation.  Degree in Geology(Main) with Physics and Chemistry as Subsidiary subjects with B.Ed (Physical Science) will also be considered as an alternative qualification for the post.(G.O.Ms.No.195/96/G.Edn. dated 02.07.1996). 

                   (iv)       

Pot Graduates in the concerned subjects with B.Ed /B.T/L.T are also eligible to apply for the post.

   (v)

Post title degree holders are not eligible to apply for the post of High School Assistant

   (vi)

Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed means B.Ed should also be in the concerned subject.

     8.

 SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

 

Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O(MS)9/78/G.Edn. dated.21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans.  Such candidates should produce along with the application proper certificates(True Copies) from the Officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission(G.O.(MS)N0.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964, G.O(MS)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.66 and G.OMS.No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66)

Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.  They should produce along with the application proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit along (G.O.Ms.315/62/Edn. Dated 14.05.1962)

N.D.S instructors who have put in not less than one year service as N.D.S. Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S.  Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years (G.O.Ms.156/67/Edn. Dated 10.04.67).  They should produce certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

        4.   

First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teacher (G.O.MS.No.122/75/.G.Edn.dated 27.05.75).

        5.

Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit (G.O.Ms.No.185/70/Edn. Dated 18.04.70 and G.O MS.No.466/70/Edn. Dated 11.11.70.)  They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

Note:-

The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet Side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General conditions)  Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.

(ii) A pass in the Certificate of Physical Education issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or a pass in the Vocational Higher Secondary Education in Physical Education conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Educations, Kerala or its equivalent or any degree in Physical Education(Regular Course) such as B.P/ B.Ed/ M.Ed etc. conferred or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala G.O(Ms).No.48/2001/G.Edn. dated 09.02.2001.

     Ex-servicemen of Army/Navy/Air Force who possess one of the following qualifications can also apply for the post.

     “Physical Training Course of the Armed Forces”(The Assistant Instructors Basic Course in Physical Education.)

                                                   OR

The army Physical Training Instructors Corps Course.

                                                    OR

Naval Physical Training corps Instructors Course.

                                                OR

Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course, provided that such Ex-service personnel shall also possess SSLC or its equivalent qualification.

Note:- Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible to apply for this post.

Note:-

(1) Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each District in pursuance of this Notification.  The ranked  list thus prepared  and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies if any, reported during the currency of the list.  In case no candidates is advised from the Ranked list till the expiry of the period of 3 years the duration of the Ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.

 
 

(2) Applications should be sent to Idukki District in response to this notification.  Candidates should submit application for this post to the Idukki District Officer of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application(Side B) and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet(Side A).  The address of the District Officer to which applications is to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the notification.

 
 

(3)    The Selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.Oms.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.Ms.No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in one District are prohibited from applying again for this post.

Age limit

:

Should have completed 18(Eighteen) years of age and should not have completed 39(Thirty nine years of age as on 01.01.2006 with usual relaxation to Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Communities.

(1)  A Pass in S.S.L.C Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.

                                                   OR

A Pass in the Pre-Degree Examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognised by any such Universities as equivalent to Pre-Degree Examination.

                                                   OR

A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or any other examination recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.

                                                   And

(2)A Pass in T.T.C(Tamil) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examination, Kerala.

Note: 1

In the absence of coandidates with T.T.C(Tamil) of Kerala, candidates with T.T.C(Tamil) of Madras or candidates with Diploma in Teacher Education(Regular) of Tamilnadu Government shall be considered for appointment.

Candidates possessing B.Ed qualification need not apply for this post.

 SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

 

Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O(MS)9/78/G.Edn. dated.21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should produce proper certificates(True Copies) from the Officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission(G.O.(MS)N0.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964, G.O(MS)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.66 and G.OMS.No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66)

Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.  They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit along (G.O.Ms.315/62/Edn. Dated 14.05.1962)

N.D.S instructors who have put in not less than one year service as N.D.S. Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S.  Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years (G.O.Ms.156/67/Edn. Dated 10.04.67).  They should produce certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teacher (G.O.MS.No.122/75/.G.Edn.dated 27.05.75).

The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet Side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General conditions)  Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.
