The above vacancy is now in existence. 6.		Age Limit			:		Must have completed 18 (Eighteen) years of age and must not have completed 35 (Thirty Five) years of age as on 01.01.2007 with usual relaxation to SC/ST and OBC candidates. (For other conditions regarding the age relaxation- Please see part (2) of the General Conditions.)
7.		Qualifications		:
	1.		Pass in S.S.L.C or any equivalent qualification.
	2.		Certificate in Canning and Food Preservation issued by the Board of Public Examination, Kerala State or by other State Governments or Central Government after attending a course of study for a period of not less than one year in any other Institutes recognized by the State or Central Government OR In the absence of candidates possessing the above qualification, training for a period of 3 months in Fruit Preservation in the Small Scale Industries Training Institute Trichur with a Certificate of Proficiency in Fruit Preservation.
8.		Application Form:
		The Application Form is a single sheet of paper specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also. Candidates have to fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight-digit barcode on side A. This barcode number is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further enquiries. The application forms will be available in the Post Offices inside the State and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
		The cost of application form is Rs.10 (Ten). The cost of application form for SC/ST candidates is R.5 (Five) only. An information brochure will be supplied with the application form. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the form. Candidates should not enclose any documents along with the application.
9.		The applicant shall send his application in the cover supplied with the application form.
		Applications should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications otherwise submitted will be summarily rejected.
10.		Mode of sending the application:
		a. The name of the Post, the Category Number and the Department of the respective post should be clearly noted at the top of the envelope. b. The name and address of the candidate shall be entered at the bottom left hand corner and the address to which applications are to be sent at the bottom right hand corner of the envelope.

	Note:- Selection will be made after conducting a written test to assess the ability of candidates in translation work.
	Probation:- Every person appointed as Assistant Tamil Translator by direct recruitment shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

Candidates should apply in the new application form, which is specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also. Candidates should fill up both sides of the application form. 			b)	National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle with One year experience in the trade after obtaining the Certificate.

			c)	Diploma in Automobile Engineering from a Government or Government recognized Polytechnic or its equivalent qualification.
	Note	:	(1)	The Experience gained by a Workshop Attender in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicles can also be deemed to be qualifying experience in the trade for selection to this post.
			(2)	Candidates belonging to SC/ST will be exempted from the qualification of experience prescribed in 2(a) and (b) above.
			(3)	The candidates should obtain the experience certificate from a Government recognized institution in the format given in Annexure and produce the same as and when acquired by the Commission.
