3.The above vacancies are now in existence. The list of selected candidates
published by the Commission in response to this Notification shall remain
in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will
continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry
of minimum of one year or till the expiry
of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said
list against the vacancy noted above and that may be reported to the Commission
in writing during the period of currency of this list.
4. Scale of Pay : Rs.8000-13500/-
5. Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment
6. Age limit : Must have completed 22 (Twenty Two) years and must not have Completed 35 (Thirty five) years of age as on 01.01.2007.(with usual relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC classes. Addendum for age limit(for conditions regarding the age relaxations, please see para (2) of the General Conditions).
7. Qualifications:
1.Masters Degree in the concerned subject with at lelast 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record.2. Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the concerned subject Specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal, preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.
NOTE:- (i) Candidates who have passed M.Phil Degree by 31.12.1993 or have submitted Ph.D Thesis to the University in the concerned subject on or before 31.12.2002 are exempted from appearing in the NET Examination,. In case such candidates fail to obtain Ph.D Degree, they shall have to pass the NET Examination (GO)(P)No.123/2002/H.Edn. dated 17.09.2003. Addendum for qualification
(ii) for SC/ST candidates minimum 50% marks for Masters Degree shall be sufficient. (G O (MS)No.2/07/H.Edn. dated 04.01.2007)
(iii) for Ph.D holders who have passed Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991 50% marks for Masters Degree shall be sufficient. (G O (MS)No.2/07/H.Edn. dated 04.01.2007
(iv) For recruitment to the above posts under these rules degrees awarded by the Universities recognized by UGC alone shall be considered.
7. Method of submitting Application:- The application can be submitted only by On-Line facility provided in the Website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. Detailed instructions regarding the submission of applications are available in the Website of the Kerala Public Service Commission viz.www.keralapsc.org. No application fee is required. The barcode number in the application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/correspondence. Documents to prove qualification, age and community etc. have to be produced as and when called for by the Commission. Application which are submitted not in accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.

The Notification inviting applications for the posts of Lecturer in various subjects in the Collegiate Education Department was published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette dated, 12.12.2007 (Category No. 456/07 to 486/07). In the notification at para 6, the age was stipulated as “Must have completed 22 years (Twenty Two) and must not have completed 35 (Thirty Five) years as on 01.01.2007” and in Note (i) of para 7, “the candidates who have submitted Ph.D thesis on or before 31.12.2002 are exempted from passing the NET examination”. These two conditions are modified as follows:Para 6:-“ Must have completed 22 years (Twenty Two) and Must not have completed 40 years (Forty) as on 01.01.2007”(GO(MS) No. 152/07/H.Edn. dated, 28.12.2007).
Para 7 Note (i) :-“The candidates who have passed Ph.D in the concerned subject are exempted from passing the NET examination” (GO(P) No. 86/07/H.Edn. dated, 19.06.2007).
The candidates who could not apply for this post as per the notification, dated, 12.12.2007, for the reasons of being over aged and Ph.D holders without NET qualification can also apply for the posts.
Last date of receipt of application for the posts is extended up to 30.01.2008 Wednesday 5.p.m. All other conditions of notification dated, 12.12.07 remains the same.

Note:-(1) The above vacancies are now in existence. The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in pursuance of this Notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of One year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new Ranked List after the minimum period of one year is published. (2) The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advise for appointment of any candidates to the above post, If it is subsequently found that such advise was made under some mistake. On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of candidate, provided that the cancellation of advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of service of the candidate by the appointing authority shall be made with in the period of probation or 240 days from the date of joining duty whichever is earlier.

Note: (1) The provisional hands working in the above concern will be given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service put in subject to a maximum of five years from the upper age limit provided they are within the prescribed age limit on the date of their first appointment in the above concern. But the regular employees of the concern are not eligible for the above concession for further appointment. The provisional hands should obtain a certificate showing the period of their provisional service in the concern and shall produce the same as and when required by the Commission. It would also be clearly specified in the certificate that they were not working in the regular service of the concern.(For other conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Para 2(1), (II), (III), (IV), & (XII) of the General Conditions)
7. Qualifications:-
B.Sc Degree in Chemistry with First Class (atleast 60% marks) from a recognised University.
