(iv) Applications should not be sent to more than one district only in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Reservation community candidates should submit application for this post to the concerned District Officer where the vacancy is existing for their respective community and should note the name of that district against the relevant column in side `B` of the application and darken the relevant bubble in Side ‘A’ of the OMR sheet. The address of the District Officers to which the applications are to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the notification.
(v) The selection in pursuance of the Notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27-5-1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No. 4/61/PD dated 2-1-1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
5. Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment
Note:- In the absence of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe will also be considered and vice versa.
6. Age limit: Should have completed 18 (Eighteen) years and should not exceed 42 (Forty Two) years in the case of SIUC Nadar Anglo Indian communities and 44 (Fort Four) years in the case of SC/ST communities. as on 1.1.2007 subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.
(Including the relaxation as per Para 2 (i) of General conditions.)

7. Qualifications : A Bachelors Degree or Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject and B. Ed/ B.T in the concerned subject both conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala
Note:- (i) Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to degree for the above purpose.
(ii) Applicants should have taken Physics or Chemistry or Home Science as main subjects for Graduation/ Post Graduation. Degree in Geology (Main) with Physics and Chemistry as subsidiary subjects with B. Ed Degree (Physical Science) can also be considered as an alternative qualification for the post [G.O.(MS)No.195/96/G.Edn.dated 2.7.1996]
(iii) The disciplines in which Degree, Post Graduate Degree and B. Ed Degrees were obtained should be mentioned in brackets in Column 6 ‘a’ of Side B of the Application Form.
(iv) Those candidates who secured B. Ed/ B.T Degrees from the Universities outside Kerala should note in theApplication Form the number and date of relevant orders declaring the said Degree as equivalent to those prescribed for this selection. The copies of such order shall be produced before the Commission as and when called for.
8. Special Concessions REGARDING APPOINTMENT and Age Limit :-
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970 and G.O(MS) No.9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the Application Form that they are Wives of Jawans. Such candidates should produce along with the Application proper certificates (True Copies) from the Officer Commanding stating the name and Military Rank and Military Address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission [G.O(MS)No.509/64/ Edn. dated 19.9.1964, G.O(MS)No.614/65/ Edn. dated 9.11.1965 and G.O (MS) No. 243/ 66/ Edn. Dated 27.5.1966].
(ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers [G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G. Edn. Dated 27.5.75].
(iii) Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit [G.O.MS.No.185/70/Edn. Dated18.4.70 and G.O.MS. No.466/70/Edn. Dated 11.11.70]. They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.
Note:- The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet Side A of application. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see Para 2 of the General conditions). Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.)

The application form is single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate computer processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Side ‘A’ is OMR data sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form. The candidates must darken the bubbles in the side ‘A’ and fill up column in side ‘B’ of the application. Candidates must fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’. This barcode is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further communication. The cost of application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only) and the cost of application form for SC/ST candidates in Kerala is Rs.5/- (Rupees five only). The application should be filled in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochure supplied along with the application. The application can be obtained from Post Offices in Kerala and Offices of the Commission.

B. Training Qualification: -
B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala
Diploma or certificate of Language Teachers Training in Hindi issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
OR
Diploma in Hindi Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
A pass in any one of the following Examinations of Kendriya Hindi Sikshan Mandal, Agra, namely: -
(1) Hindi Sikshan Praveen

[2] Persons who have successfully undergone Pracharak Diploma of the Dakshina Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha upto and including the academic year 1969-70 shall be considered to possess the requisite training qualification.
[3] Persons who have successfully undergone the Hindi Teachers Diploma Course of the Regional Hindi Training College, Gandhigram, Madhura during the Academic Year 1967-68 or prior to that year shall be considered to possess the requisite training qualification.
[4] Persons who have successfully undergone the Acharya Course of the Kerala Hindi Prachara Sabha upto and including the Academic year 1969-70 shall be considered to possess the requisite training qualification.
[5] Post Graduates in Hindi are also eligible to apply provided they have B.Ed/B.T/L.T.

The physical measurement of candidates will however be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement at that time will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test.

Note:- Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given above and vague statement such as Vision ‘Normal’ etc will not be accepted. Specification for each eye should be stated separately. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the officers issuing the Certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standard of vision as the case may be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.
