7. Qualifications:- Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry with not less than 50% marks or any other equivalent Qualification of a recognized University.

Preferential:-Training in Preservation of monuments and handling and cleaning of antiquities from a recognised institution for a period of not less than 3 months.

8. Probation:-Every person appointed to this post by direct recruitment shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty with in a continuous period of three years.

9. Training:-A person appointed by direct recruitment shall undergo such training as may be prescribed by the Government from time to time.

10. Test:-Every person appointed to this post by direct recruitment shall within the period of Probation, pass either the Account Test for Executive Officers or the Account Test (Lower), if he has not already passed the same.

Training

 

          A person appointed to a post of Assistant Director(Polygraph) by Direct Recruitment shall undergo 6  months training in all branches of Forensic Science in the Forensic Science Laboratory and also undergo  a training in that/those discipline(s) of Forensic Science which will be dealt with in the division(s)  of Forensic Science Laboratory to which he/she will be appointed/ transferred in a Forensic Science Laboratory or in NICFS, Govt. of India, New Delhi or similar institution to be decided by the Government on the advice of the Director General of Police for a minimum period of six months or for such period/periods  required to complete the course/courses of training in the institutions to which he is deputed.  A trainee will be entitled to the following benefits during the period of training.

 

a)He will be eligible to draw an amount equal to the minimum of the scale of pay of the post and the usual allowances.

 

b)He will eligible for traveling allowances for to and fro journeys incidental to the training at the rates admissible to the Officers drawing pay at the minimum of scale of pay of the post under Kerala Service Rules.

 

c)Any other allowances like compensatory allowances, warm clothing allowance etc which Government may by general or special orders sanction to officers deputed for travelling.

 

d)The period of training will be inservice and treated as duty under Rule 12(7)(iii)Part I, Kerala Service Rules.

 

Probation:-  Every person appointed to the post by direct recruitment shall on  completion of the training be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

 

Test:-  Every person appointed to the post shall within the period of probation pass the Account Test for Executive Officers or Account Test(Lower) if he has not already passed the test.

 

Bond:- Every person appointed to the post shall execute a bond in such form as may be prescribed by the Government to serve the state Government for a minimum period of 5 years after completion of training failing which he will be liable to pay a sum  of Rs.25000 (Rupees Twenty Five thousand only) as liquidated damages to the Government in addition to the actual cost of training assessed by the Account General (A&E), Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

MGTE or KGTE Group Certificate in Electrical Engineering  4 subjects viz

Machine Drawing (Lower)

With an experience of not less than 2 years in an Electrical undertaking.

Note:1

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the requirement of experience shall not be insisted upon.  Such candidates shall be given training for six months during the period of probation after appointment to the post.

            Experience prescribed for direct recruitment shall be one acquired after obtaining the basic academic or other qualification.  Practical Experience gained by holding temporary or regular appointment in Government Service as well as in Public or registered Private Sector undertaking shall alone be accepted as experience for the purpose of direct recruitment.

Temporary or regular appointment in registered Private Sector undertaking shall mean temporary or permanent appointment in

(i)                  Co-operative Societies registered under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act.

(c)

The Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Electrical Engineering (2 years course) shall be treated as an alternative qualification in lieu of certificate in Electrical Engineering after undergoing a course of two years in a recognized institution.

(d)

Certificate in Electrical Engineering after a course of study of 2 years from an institution recognized by the Government of Kerala or from any of the Technical Schools recognized by the Government, shall be the Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations on behalf of the State Board of Technical Education after under going a course for 2 years duration therefore and include any one of the following Certificates issued by Government.

(i)                  National Trade Certificate in the Trade Electrician issued by the Government of India (National Council for Training in Vocational Trades)

(ii)                National Trade Certificate issued by the Government under the Craftsman Training Scheme in the Trade Electrician obtained through the Industrial Training Institutes.

(iii)               National Trade Certificate in the trade Lineman and Wireman under the Work Orientation Scheme (Matric Trade) 18 months Course with 6 months.  Obligatory in plant training issued by Government through industrial Training Institute for which the minimum general educational qualification for admission was prescribed as completion of University Course intermediate.

(iv)              Any other qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent to anyone of the above Certificates.
