Note:- (i) Vacancies reported in writing from the Schools under the control of Local Self Government Institutions shall also be filled up from the Ranked List prepared as per this notification.

  (ii)  Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates.

  (iii) Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each District in pursuance of this notification.  The ranked lists thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed     against the vacancies earmarked for the above community but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following districts.

          (iv)Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification.  If applications are sent contrary to the above direction and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Reservation community candidates should submit applications for this post to the concerned District Officer  where the vacancy is existing for their respective community and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application side ‘B’ of the application and darken the relevant bubble in side ‘A’ of the OMR Sheet.  The address of the District Officers to which applications are to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the notification.

           (v)The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms) No.154/71/PD dated 27.5.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD dated 2.1.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.

6.         Age Limit                             :    Should have completed 18 (Eighteen) years of age and should not have completed 42 (Forty two) years of age as on 01.01.2007 (including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of General conditions)

Note:- For age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions except para 2 (i) subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years.

7.   Qualifications:-   A  Degree in Malayalam or Graduation with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of part III  and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala.

                                                OR

Title of oriental learning in Malayalam awarded by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 

Note:-1.  Post Graduates in Malayalam are also eligible to apply provided they have B.Ed/B.T/L.T. qualification.

2. B.Ed. should be in the concerned subject viz., Malayalam.

          3. Candidates should produce along with their applications, self attested copies of mark lists of Degree/Diploma Examinations in addition to the certificates referred to para 15(B) of the General Conditions.  

8.  SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

1. Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(Ms)No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970 and G.O(Ms)No.9/78/G.Edn. dated 21.1.1978 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualification.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the applications form that they are Wives of  Jawans.  Such candidates should produce  along  with   the  application  proper certificates  (true  copies)  from the officer  commanding  stating  the  name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the original as and when required by the    Commission (G. O (M s) No.509/64/Edn.  dated, 09.09.1964, G.O (Ms)No.614/65/Edn.  dated 9.11.1965 and G.O(Ms)No.243/66/Edn. dated  27.5.1966).

2.  First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/GEdn. Dated 27.5.75)

3. Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit

(G.O.M.S.No.185/70/Edn.Dated, 18.4.70 and G.O.MS.No .466/70/Edn.Dated, 11.11.70).  They should produce proper certificates along with the application from authorities concerned.

Note:- The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet Side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates.

9.       Last Date for receipt of applications: 19/9/2007  Wednesday  upto 5.00 pm

10.                        The application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer Processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR).  Side ‘A’ is the OMR data sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form.  The candidates must darken the bubble in Side A and fill up columns in Side B of the application. Candidates must fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’ . This barcode is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further communication. The Cost of the application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only).  The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochure supplied along with the application form.  The application form can be obtained from Post Offices in Kerala and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.

 Note:- (i)Self attested copies of documents to prove qualification, age, community etc.  should be attached with the application( Provisions in the General conditions in this regard is not applicable).

(ii) Application should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications otherwise will be summarily rejected.

11.            Address to which applications are to be sent:- Concerned District Offices                    

Applications sent to any address other than that of the district officer  to which the candidate is applying will be summarily rejected

Note:  (i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than those notified will summarily be rejected.  No rejection memos will be issued to such candidates.

7.      Qualifications:

 A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in

 Kerala

OR

A title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.

OR

 A pass in Pre-Degree examination in the Part III Arabic (Special Optional) from the Calicut University.

OR

 A pass in SSLC Examination, Kerala or its equivalent and

  a pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

OR

a.      A pass in SSLC Examination, Kerala or its equivalent and

b.      A pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala

OR

                      Arabic Preliminary Examination of the Kerala or Calicut

                      Universities.

8.      SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

1.      Preference will be given as laid down in GO (MS) No.50/70/PD dated.12.2.1970 and G.O(MS)9/78/Gen.Edn. Dated. 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the officer commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the commission Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side ‘B’ of the application form that thy are wives of Jawans.  This benefit will not be available to those candidates who do not state the aforesaid details in that manner, even if they produce relevant documents, later. (G.O. (MS) NO. 509/64/Edn. dated 19.09.1964, G.O (MS) No. 614/ 65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965    and G.O. (MS) No. 243/ 66/Edn.  Dated 27.05.1966).
