Note:(iii)	Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each District in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against vacancies earmarked for the above communities but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the original Ranked Lists published for the post in the following districts.

(iv).	Applications should not be sent to more than one District in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected his/her name will be removed from the Ranked Lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Candidates should submit applications for this post to the concerned District Officer of the Commission where vacancies existing for respective communities and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application (Side B) and darken the relevant bubble in the OMR Sheet (Side A). The address of the District Officers to which applications are to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the Notification

(v).		The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.MS No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one District are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notifies.
5.	Method of appointment		:	Direct Recruitment from Ezhava, Scheduled Caste and Latin Catholic and OBC reservation Communities.

In the absence of SC candidates,candidates belongigng to ST will also be considered

Age limit

Should have completed 18(Eighteen) years of age and should not have completed 42(Forty two) and 44 (Forty Four) years of age as on 01.01.2007 for Other Backward Communities and Scheduled Caste communities respectively (Including the age relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions.)

For concessions regarding other age relaxations, please see para 2 of General Conditions except para 2(i).

7.	Qualification	:	1.A Degree in Arabic or Arabic as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR
			2. A title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teacher’s Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Exminations, Kerala

Note: -	(i)	Post Graduates in Arabic are also eligible to apply if they possess B.Ed/B.T/L.T
	(ii).	B.Ed shall be in the concerned Language.
	(iii).	Disciplines in which B.A/M.A and B.Ed Degrees were obtained should be mentioned in column ‘6a’ of side ‘B’ of the application form.
	(iv).	Those candidates who secured BA/MA/B.Ed/B.T Degrees from the Universities outside Kerala should note in the application form the number and date of relevant orders recognizing the said degree. The copies of such order shall be produced along with the application.

8.	SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT(i).Preference will be given as laid down inG.O (MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O (MS)9/78/G.Edn dated 21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.
	Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, Military Rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans. Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side ‘B’ of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. This benefit will not be available to those candidates who do not state the aforesaid details in that manner, even if they produce relevant documents, later.
	(G.O(MS)No.509/64/ Edn.dated 19.09.1964,G.O(MS)N0.614/65/Edn.dated 9.11.65 and G.O.MS No.243/66/Edn. dated 27.05.1966).
(ii)	First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn.dated 27.05.1975.)
(iii)	Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit (G.OMS.No.185/70/Edn. Dated 18.04.1970 and G.O.MS.No.466/70/Edn.dated 11.11.1970) . They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.
Note:		The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side ‘B’ and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet side ‘A’ of application. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions). Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.

Application Form and Application Fee: The application form is a single sheet of a paper printed on both sides to facilitate computer processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Side A is the OMR data Sheet and Side B is the conventional application form. The candidates must darken the bubbles in the Side A and fill up columns in Side B of the application form. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on Side ‘A’. This Bar Code is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further communications. Cost of Application form is Rs.10/-(Rupees ten only). The cost of Application for SC/ST candidates of Kerala State is Rs.5/-(Rupees Five only). The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochures supplied along with the application form. The application form can be obtained from the various offices of KPSC and from the various post offices in Kerala.

Note:- (a) Preference will be given to Ex-servicemen subject to rules.

(b) Preference will be given to Ex-Home Guards within the meaning of G.O.(Ms)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970.
