(iii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in Items (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Note : (1) In the absence of B.Ed. Degree holder, candidates having Master’s Degree with not less than 50% marks and who have passed State Eligibility Test will be considered. Preference will be given to those who have acquired Ph.D. Degree or M.Phil. Degree or qualified at Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. The teachers appointed under this provision will have to acquire B.Ed. Degree at their own expense within 5 years from the date of entry in service.
(2) Those who have passed Language Teachers Training Course are exempted from acquiring B.Ed. qualification.
(3) Persons who have acquire M.Ed./ in the subject concerned recognized by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. qualification.
(6). Qualifications :Sl.No.6 Sociology
1. Master’s Degree in the Sociology with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala.
2. (1) B.Ed. in Sociology acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala.

Note:- (1) In the absence of B.Ed. holders, candidates having Master’s Degree with not less than 50% marks and who have passed State Eligibility Test will be considered, Preference will be given to those who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil Degree or qualified at Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. The teachers appointed under this provision will have to acquire B.Ed. Degree at their own expense within five years from the date of entry in service.
(2) Persons who acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognized by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. qualification.
Exemptions: 1. Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teachers.
2. Those persons who have passed the National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test.
3. Persons with Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed.Degree shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test provided the M.Phil in the concerned subject should be one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent hereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.
4. The Teachers who have completed ten years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teacher.
7. Application Form
The Application form is a single sheet of paper specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also. Candidates have to fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’. This barcode number is unique for each application. The candidates have to quote this number for further enquiries.
The application forms will be available in the Post Offices inside the State and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
Cost of the Application form is Rs.10/- Cost of application form for SC candidates of Kerala is Rs.5/-(Rupees five only). An information brochure will be supplied with the application form. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the form.
Copies of documents to prove educational qualification, Community, age etc. should be submitted along with the application form. The provision in the general conditions and in the brochure supplied with the application will not be applicable in this case.

1. Training:- A person appointed to a post of Scientific Assistant (Physics and Ballistics) by direct recruitment shall undergo 6 months training in Criminal Scene examination in all branches of Forensic Science in the Forensic Science Laboratory and shall undergo a training in Forensic Physics and Forensic Ballistics in a Forensic Science Laboratory or NICFS, Government of India, New Delhi or similar Institutions to be decided by the Government on the advice of the Director General of Police for a minimum period of six months or for such period required to complete the courses of training in institutions to which he is deputed.
2. A trainee will be entitled to the following benefits namely:
(a) During the period of training, he will be entitled to draw an amount equal to minimum of the scale of pay of the post & allowances which he would have drawn for the training.
(b) He will be allowed T.A for to and fro journey incidental to the training at the rate admissible under Kerala Service Rules.
(c) He will be given compensatory allowances at the rates as may be specified by the Government.
(d) The period of training and transit will be treated as on duty under Rule 12 (7)iii, of Kerala Service Rules.
Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall on completion of training, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
Test:- Every person appointed to the post shall within the period of probation pass the Account Test (Lower) or the Account Test for Executive Officers (Kerala) if he has not already passed the test.
Bond:- Every person appointed to the post shall execute a Bond in such a form as may be prescribed by the Government to Serve the State Government for a minimum period of 5 years, after completion of training and in the event of his failure to serve the Government, he will be liable to pay a sum of Rs.25,000 (Rupees Twenty five Thousand only) as liquidated damages to the Government in addition to the actual cost of training assessed by the Accountant General (A&E) Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

If the specifications are not as indicated above, the Officer issuing the certificate should notify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision, as the case may be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.
8. Conditions of-Service:-
a. Training:- Every candidate selected for appointment as Police Constable (Tele communication) shall undergo 9 months of normal training. During the period of training the selected candidates shall undergo technical training in operation maintenance and repairs of telecommunications equipments
b. Stipent:- During the period of training the selected candidates shall be paid stipend equal to the minimum of the scale of pay of Police Constable (Tele-communication). The period of training shall not be counted for probation or increment
c. Probation:- Every person appointed to the category shall from the date on which he joins duty after successful completion of training be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years
d. Bond:- Before joining duty such candidates shall execute a bond of Rs.5000 to the effect that he shall serve the department for a minimum period of 5 years
9. Application Form:- The application form is a single sheet of paper specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also. Candidates have to fill up both side of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side A. This barcode number is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further enquiries.
The application forms will be available in the Post Offices inside the State and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
The cost of application is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only) An information brochure will be supplied with the application form. Candidates should read the instructions care fully before filling up the form. Candidates should enclose self attested copies of documents to prove educational qualification, community, age etc.
10. Mode of sending the applications:-
a. The applicant shall send his application in the cover supplied with the application form.
b. Applications should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications otherwise submitted will be summarily rejected.
c Department of the respective post should be clearly noted at the top of the envelope. d The name and address of the candidates shall be entered at the bottom left hand corner and the address to which applications re to be sent at the bottom right hand corner of the envelope.
