                                  The application forms will be available in the Post Offices inside the State and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.

                                   The cost of the application form is Rs.10.  The cost of the application form for SC/ST candidates is Rs.5.  An information brochure will be supplied with the application form.  Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the forms.  Candidates should not enclose any documents along with  the application.

Note:-  1.  Persons appointed in the above post shall be liable, not withstanding that at the time of requisition of their services they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years during the first ten years of their service (including periods spent on training) in the Defence Service or on assignment relating to the Defence effort anywhere in India or abroad, if so required.  The liability to serve in the defence will not ordinarily apply to those Assistant Engineers who are above 40 years of age.

       Authority from Departmental candidates

Method of appointment    :       Direct Recruitment from the I & II Grade D’man / Water Works Inspector/Drainage Inspector , I & II Grade Overseers, I & II Grade Work Superintendents who have rendered a minimum period of two years service in Kerala Water Authority (P.H.E.D) and from clerks who have rendered a minimum  period of 6 years service as clerk in the Kerala Water Authority ( P.H.E.D).

NOTE:- If qualified candidates are not available from  among  the above  categories in the services of Water Authority  appointments will be made by direct recruitment of candidates from open market.

NOTE: 1

The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remaining force for a minimum period of one year from the date on which it is brought into force provided that the list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new ranked list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised against the vacancies shown above and for all the vacancies reported during the period of pendency of the ranked list in the order of priority if any and in the order of merit and according to the rules of reservation and rotation whichever they are applicable.

NOTE: 2(1)

The provisional hands working in the above concern will be given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service put in subject to a maximum of five years from the upper age limit provided they are within the prescribed age limit on the date of their first appointment in the above concern.  But the regular employees of the concern are not eligible for the above concession for further appointment.  The provisional hands should obtain a certificate showing the period of their provisional service in the concern and shall produce the same as and when required by the Commission.  It would also be clearly  specified in the certificate that they were not working in the regular service of the concern. 

(ii)

The Retrenched employees of the Kerala Fisheries Corporation will be given age relaxation as stipulated in the G.O(Rt.)No.1942/84/PW. Dated 31.12.1984 to the extent of their service subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years.  These candidates will also be given preference in the matter of recruitment among other candidates with equal marks.  Such candidates should obtain a certificate from the Managing Director, Kerala Fisheries Corporation Limited to prove their length of service in the Company and the date of retrenchment and produce the same as and when required by the Commission.

(iii)

The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidates to the  service of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation if it is subsequently found that such advise was made under some mistake.  On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of candidate, provided that the cancellation of advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of Service of the candidate by the appointing authority  shall be as per Rule 3(C)of K.S and SR.

(iv)

Sub Paras V,VIII, IX,X, XI and XIII in Para 2 and Paras 5,6,and 7 of the General Conditions are not applicable to this post.
