Age Limit

:

Must have completed 19 (Nineteen) years and must not have completed 36 (Thirty Six) years of age as on 01-01-2006 with usual relaxation to SC/ST and OBC candidates.

Qualification

:

(1)     Graduation in Science (with Physics as one of the Subjects), Technology or Engineering of a recognized University or a recognized Diploma in Engineering and

(2)     Must be able to speak, read and write at least one of the Regional Languages of the State.

Training

:

The person appointed to the post of Inspector shall have to complete the basic training course at the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology established by the Central Government under section 76 of the standards Act before he is considered for confirmation to the post.

Application Form

:

The application form is a single sheet of paper specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also.    Candidates have to fill up both sides of application. Each application form contains a unique eight-digit barcode on side A.  This barcode number is unique for each application.  The candidate has to quote this number for further enquiries.

      The application forms will be available in the post offices inside the State and offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.

        The cost of the application form is Rs.10/-(Rupees Ten only).  The cost of application form for SC/ST candidates is Rs.5/-(Rupees Five only). 

An information brochure will be supplied with the application form.  Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the form.  Candidates should not enclose any documents along with the application.  Copies of documents to prove educational qualification, Community, age etc should be submitted as and when called for by the Commission.
