Officers of the Technical Education Department, Public Works Department, Industries Department and Town Planning Department having the qualification prescribed for direct recruitment may also apply; and they will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service in those departments .such candidates should forward a service certificate (in original) showing the length of their service as and when required by the Commission.Those who are eligible for relaxation should furnish the details in the column 12 of the application form7. Qualifications :
First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture Engineering/ Technology OR First class Master’s Degree in Architecture Engineering/ Technology.
Note: Percentage of marks obtained for the above mentioned examination should also be furnished in the column prescribed for noting qualification for the post in the application forms. The term I class means “I Class with a minimum of 60% Aggregate Marks”(G.O(P) No.6/2003/H. Edn. Dated 24.1.2003)
Probation: Those who are appointed to the post shall from the date on which they join duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
Liability to serve in the Defence Services
Persons appointed to the post shall be liable not withstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments to serve for a minimum period of four years (including periods spent in training) in the Defence Services or an assignment relating to defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad if so required. The liability to serve in the defence services will be limited to the first ten years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.

9. Self attested copies of documents to prove educational qualification, community, age etc. should be submitted along with the application. In the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. 2. In the absence of persons with Bed. Degree in the concerned subject, Bed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. 3. In the absence of persons with BEd. Degree as specified in Items (1) and (2) above, persons with BEd. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. |

| (iv) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government.Note: 1. In the absence of BEd. Degree holders, candidates having Master’s Degree with not less than 50% marks and who have passed State Eligibility Test will be considered. Preference will be given to those who have acquired Ph.D Degree or M.Phil Degree or qualified at Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. Application form: The application form which is a single sheet of paper specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also. Candidates have to fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’. This barcode number is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further enquiries. The application forms will be available in the Post Offices inside the State and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission. The cost of application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only). Cost of application for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates of Kerala is Rs.5/- (Rupees Five only). An information brochure will be supplied with the application form. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the form. Candidates should enclose copy of documents toprove date of birth,qualification,community,etc along with the application. The provision in the general condition and in the brochure supplied along with the application will not be applicable in this case. |

| The applicant shall send his application in the cover supplied with the application form. Applications should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service commission and applications otherwise submitted will be summarily rejected. |
