The ranked list published as per this notification will be valid until candidate is advised and appointed against the above vacancy earmarked for OBC community as unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the ranked list, published on 03.11.2003 for the post.
5. Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (from among OBC Community candidates only)
Note:- Application submitted by candidates belonging to other than OBC community will be rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to them individually.
6. Age Limit : Must have completed 24 (Twenty four) years and must not have completed 43 (Forty three) years of age as on 01.01.2007. (including relaxation in Para 2(i) of General Conditions.

7. Qualifications :
1. M.D .(Medicine) degree from a recognised University
OR
Diplomate of National Board (Medicine) issued by National Board of Examination, New Delhi.
2. Permanent Registration under State/Central Registration Act..
In the absence of candidates with qualification in item (1) above, candidates with the following qualification will be considered for the post with the scale of pay of Rs. 8000 – 13500 and designated as Lecturer.
1) MBBS Degree from a recognised University.
2) Permanent Registration under State/Central Medical Registration Act.
3) One year House Surgency.
Note:-
1). Ranked List will be prepared for Senior Lecturer with candidates who possess post graduate degree. If Post Graduates are not available ranked list candidates with MBBS Degree will be prepared for the post of Lecturer on Rs. 8000 – 13500.
2) Candidates with Post Graduate Degree shall clearly indicate the name of post as “Senior Lecturer on Rs. 10000- 15200” and those with MBBS degree shall indicate as “Lecturer on Rs. 8000 – 13500” at the top of side B of the application and on the envelop.
3) Provisional Registration with any Medical Council will not be accepted.
4) Candidate who have secured permanent Registration with other state/Cental Medical Council will have to get themselves registered under the Travancore-Cochin Medical Practitioners Act before they join duty in the post.
5) Candidates who are appointed in the post should serve for 4 (four) years during the first 10 (ten) years of their service (including the period of Training) anywhere in India or in any foreign country under Defence Service or assignments connected with defence. This compulsory service is not applicable to those who have completed 45 (forty five) years of age.
8. Application form:
The application form is a single sheet of paper specially designed for processing through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) also. Candidates have to fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’. This barcode number is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further enquiries.
The application forms will be available in the Post Offices inside the State and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
The cost of application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only). An information brochure will be supplied with the application form. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the form.
9. Self attested copies of documents to prove educational qualification, community, age etc. should be submitted along with the application. The provision in the general condition and in the brochure supplied along with the application will not be applied to this post.
10. Mode of sending the applications:
a) The applicant shall send his application in the cover supplied with the application form.
b) Applications should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications otherwise submitted will be summarily rejected.
c) The name of the post, the Category Number and the Department of the respective post should be clearly noted at the top of the envelope.
d) The name and address of the candidate shall be entered at the bottom left hand corner and the address to which applications are to be sent at the bottom right hand corner of the envelope.
