1) B H M S Degree awarded by any University in the State of Kerala
OR
A Diploma in Homoeopathy issued by the Govt. of Kerala

Any other Degree or Diploma in Homoeopathy declared equivalent to the above provided all such qualifications are included in the second schedule of the Homoeopathy Central Council Act 1973 (Central Act 59 of 1973).2. Successful completion of House Surgency/Internship.
3. A Class Registration with the Registrar of Medical Council Kerala.

A ratio of 5:1:1:1 shall be maintained in making appointment between direct recruitment and transfer from Nurses, Pharmacists and Clerks in Homoeopathy Department, in the absence of candidates by transfer these vacancies in each category will be filled up by direct recruitment from open quota and backlog for each category will not be restored. Separate rank list for each category will be published. For recruitment By Transfer the rules of reservation will not apply and the candidate will be advised on the basis of strict seniority assigned in the rank list.

Note:- Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the certificate, as given above, in Para 7(3) vague statements such as vision “normal” “Average” etc. will not be accepted, specification for each eye should be stated separately. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the Officers issuing the certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision,as the case may be. Otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.
8. (1). Training:-Every person appointed as Excise Preventive Officer shall undergo a training as may be prescribed by the Commissioner of Excise for a period of not less than three months.
(2). Bond:- Every persons deputed for training shall execute a bond agreeing to complete the course of training and to serve the Government after training for such minimum period as may be specified by the Commissioner of Excise , failing which he shall be liable to refund the cost of training together with liquidated damages.
(3).Test:-Every person appointed as Excise Preventive Officer shall within the prescribed period of Probation, pass the Excise Test Part A&B if he has not already passed the same.
