3. Munsiffs or Sub Divisional Magistrates, provided that no Munsiff or SubDivisional  Magistrate shall hold the post of Deputy Commissioner for a period exceeding 3 years at a time

6. Probation:-Every person appointed to the above post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty  within a continuous period of 3 years.

Method of appointment and Qualifications: Recruitment from the Officers in the Grade of Senior Superintendent, Office Manager and other Non-Technical Officers in the scale of Rs.10790-18000 or higher scale of pay in all Departments (excluding Administrative, Finance, Law and Legislature Secretariat, Kerala Public Service Commission, Advocate General Office, High Court, Local Fund Audit and Revenue Department) who have put in not less than three years service in a supervisory post carrying the scale of pay of Rs.10790-18000 or higher.                   The supervisory experience required is full time supervisory work in an office and not the type of supervisory work which an officer with executive functions also, exercises in an office ie., the term ‘Supervisory Post’ means holding the post in a supervisory capacity in the ministerial line and not the type of supervision over an office exercised by officers holding the executive assignments (Vide G.O (MS) No.140/76/PD dated 15/05/1976).
  Note:- To prove the above service the candidates should obtain the original service certificate,  (in the form specially prescribed along with the Notification) from the office/department authority and submit the same as and when called for by the Commission.

15% of the vacancies of Veterinary Surgeons to be filled up by direct recruitment shall be reserved for those released from the Remount Veterinary Corps.  Those person who would have been eligible for appointment to the service if they had not joined Military Service; and those who are physically fit to hold the post, alone will be considered for the reserved vacancies.  If adequate number of released army personnel are not available to fill up the reserved vacancies, such vacancies shall be filled up by direct recruitment from others.

Age limit : Must have completed 18 (Eighteen) years of age and must not have completed 38 (Thirty Eight) years of age as on 01.01.2007 with usual relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Note:-2

The period of service in Armed forces put in by persons who will be appointed in the reserved vacancies and the period of unemployment on discharge up to a maximum of three years shall be excluded for the purpose of reckoning the maximum age limit of 38 years.

Qualifications

:

1 A Degree in Veterinary Science
        2 Registration with the Kerala State Veterinary Council as envisaged in the Indian Veterinary Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984)

Working knowledge in Malayalam.

 

Note:3

Relaxation from the above qualification under item 3 shall be given to persons belonging to Linguistic minorities in the state subject to the condition that they shall pass the Language test in Malayalam as provided in clause (aaaa) of Rule 10 of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958.

Working knowledge in Malayalam will be assessed by the Commission during the course of selection.

Training:

1 Candidates on appointment as Veterinary Surgeon Gr.II shall undergo within the period of probation the training course conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department and the period of such training shall be treated as duty for the purpose of probation.
2 Persons in the Animal Husbandry Subordinate Service who have worked as Live Stock Assistants for a period of not less than five years and personnel released from the army who are appointed in the reserved vacancies will be exempted from undergoing the training.

Persons who have undergone the BVSc and Animal Husbandry Course with an inbuilt programme of Internship training conducted by the Kerala Agricultural University or any other Agricultural University shall be exempted from undergoing the training.
