The Public Service Commission also play a role in the Departmental
Promotion Committees constituted for each Department relating
to the appointment to the selection categories or grades
in the Department. Each Departmental Promotion Committee
is headed by a member of the Commission. The Departmental
Promotion Committees are convened by the respective Heads
of Department.
