NOTIFICATION

The following list contains the names of candidates found suitable on the basis of the result of Objective Type Test  [OMR] for selection to the post of Lower Division Clerk [Various Departments] on Rs. 3050-5230 in Ernakulam district, held on 23.8.2003, arranged in  the order of merit.  This Ranked List is brought into force with effect from 29.12.2003.  The Ranked List will be in force till the publication of a new Ranked List for the post on expiry of a minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates from this list will be advised for appointment in accordance with the rules and orders regarding reservation and rotation as amended from time to time, if applicable against vacancies reported to the commission during the pendency of the list.  As the advice for appointment depends on the occurrence of vacancies, there is no guarantee that all candidates included in the list will secure appointment.  The candidates remaining in the list at the time of cancellation will have no claim at all for appointment on the basis of the inclusion of their names in the list.

            The entries put in column 4 are based on the communities specified by the candidates in their applications and proved by them with necessary documents.  The candidates whose communities have not been correctly noted in the list as proved by them in their application should intimate the fact to the District Officer Kerala Public Service Commission, Ernakulam, within one month from the date of publication of this list, to get the benefit of reservation to which they are entitled in the absence of timely information regarding discrepancies, if any the candidates will be advised as incorporated in the list.

            The list of candidates for ‘Recruitment By Transfer From Low Paid Employees` contains the names of candidates selected for appointment  arranged in the order of merit.  The candidates included in the list shall be advised against the 5%  vacancies reserved for them purely on the basis of merit.  Candidates selected but could not secure appointment before the expiry of the ranked list for direct recruitment; will be included in the top of the new Ranked List of low paid employees to be  brought into force in response to  fresh notification  for selection to the post of LD Clerk in Various Departments in Ernakulam, irrespective of their length of service and they will be given appointment accordingly.  In case there are no candidates  to fill up the 5% reservation quota for low paid employees, such vacancies  will be filled up by direct recruitment.

            According to the existing procedure, revaluation of answer scripts is not allowed.  But answer scripts will be re-checked to see that all the answers are valued and that there is no mistake in the totaling of marks to the various answers, if the prescribed fee of     Rs. 10/- [Rupees Ten only] is remitted in any one of the treasuries in the state, by chalan under the Head of Account  `0051-PSC-105-State PSC-99 Examination Fee`.  The application for re-checking together with the original chalan receipt for the prescribed fee addressed to the  District Officer, Kerala Public Service Commission, District Office, Krishna Hospital Buildings, MG Road, Ernakulam, PIN 682 011 should reach this office within 60 days from the date on  which the Ranked List is officially released by the Public Service Commission.  Application for re-checking received after the prescribed time limit will not be entertained.

            The fee remitted will not be refunded.

            In the case of candidates who make applications for re-checking within the prescribed time limit enclosing chalan receipt as stated above, the marks awarded by the examiner for the several questions will be re-checked and if it is found that the examiner has omitted to award marks to a question or sub-division of a question, the script will be got re-checked and discrepancies rectified by the examiner.  The result of the re-checking  will be intimated to the candidate by this office.
